June was not hot

Met Eireann has reported the figures for June and, yes, it was cold. It averaged 12.9C which is almost 1C cooler than the long-term average and almost 5C cooler than last year. Pshaw! And 10 mm less rain than the LTA confirms why I was watering almost every day. We have not watered in the vineyard and I wonder if that's affecting the fruit. 

Meanwhile, the first Cat 4 hurricane, Beryl, is barreling through the Caribbean, dumping rain on Tobago this morning and pushing storm surge into Barbados. I am afraid the Grenadines will bear the brunt. It is the first-ever Cat 4 storm to form in June. Climate weirdness.
