The rain is gone!

August 30th weather was wet

After the dismal July and August where it never ceased to rain, the jet stream has now wobbled back our way, and we are expecting a couple of weeks of fine weather. Look at this 206.8 mm in July -- that's almost 4 times what we had in the previous two years. August comes in as average but it felt wetter and cooler. Today it's about 20C and sunny in Mayo, and it's promising to continue. Bring it on!

We also had a Blue Moon and astronomically high tides this week, so it's been interesting. Got delayed going to a party last night by more than an hour as the tide came in much sooner than expected.
